Tia’s Artwork
I bring memories to life with pencils!
I am Tia Halsall.
From as long as I can remember I have always loved drawing and being creative. I’ve always been an emotional, highly sensitive individual and was always looking for an escape from reality. Drawing became my passion and my purpose; putting a smile on people’s faces with my work warms my heart, I’ve always been captivated by almost everything in my surroundings starting with nature, animals, anime and then it leading to portraits.
I’ve always loved drawing faces. They do say the eyes are the key to the soul and that’s what I focus on first when drawing a portrait.

Frequently Asked Questions.
How much does a commission cost?
The price of the commission is based on the size and detail of the drawing. This will be agreed upon and further stipulated in the contract agreement between yourself and Tia.
There’s a 25% non-refundable deposit and this must be paid in full before the commission starts. This deposit is taken off the rest of the balance, which will be due upon completion of the portrait. Items are shipped within 3-7 working days upon completion. Payment can be made via BACS or Paypal.
Size range?
I offer sizes from A5, A4 and A3. All commissions are done on high quality smooth 200gsm card.
*Prices are for one subject – an additional cost is required for more than one subject*
Booking a commission?
Once you’ve filled out the commission form tell me your preferences for your portrait and if there’s a date you will need it complete by. I usually have a waiting list, but will juggle around to the best of my ability to meet any special deadlines for you but please bare in mind the shipping, especially international as I can’t guarantee it’ll arrive on time with it being overseas.
In regard to photos, I will ask that you collect/ take as many photos as you can. Email me as many as you like and we can discuss together if you’re unsure what would be the most suitable in terms of the composition or general layout. I have put together a guide on what makes the best reference photos, check it out on the tabs! Email me if you have any questions or are unsure about anything.
Mock ups?
I will send you various mockups (if required) using the photos you have sent me so we can decide on the best photo/ composition together, unless you have a very specific photo in mind that doesn’t need altering. You’ll be very much involved in this process! I’ll continue to send photos throughout the creation to make sure you’re satisfied with the portrait.
I will send you an email notification when I make a start on your portrait. You can follow your portrait’s progress on my Instagam or Facebook feed. If you’d prefer me not to upload any progress photos of the piece, as it may ruin a surprise, please let me know during booking.
What happens once it's completed?
Once I have completed your portrait, I will email you a final watermarked scan of the piece for your approval. At this stage, you can request any tweaks or changes to be made if necessary. Upon full satisfaction, I will send you an invoice to pay the remaining amount.
I will carefully pack your portrait, whether framed or unframed, to a high standard to ensure no damage occurs during postage. I post using a 1st class service or DPD courier depending on the size of the package, which requires a signature and is insured. In most cases, portraits will arrive the next day. For international orders, postage can take 2 weeks or longer and payment of import duty may be liable in some countries, which is the client’s sole responsibility.
