Johnny Depp has been in the industry since the 1980s and has been a huge inspiration to myself and many others across the globe, he’s an amazing actor and a kind-hearted soul who continues to give back to others. I grew up watching his movies and they’re some of my favourites that I continue to watch and recommend to others, Sparrow being a fan favourite. I wanted to capture his likeness and personality through the character he plays as well as adding small details such as the pendant being painted with glittery watercolours to give it more depth. It was a blast drawing this piece and it’s one of the pieces I’m most proud of.
