Johnny Depp has been in the industry since the 1980s and has played many roles, Scissorhands being my favourite and I wanted to create a series of him – this is the second drawing I’ve completed of him. I wanted to capture his facial expression as much as possible, it was trial and error but I think I got there in the end. I had a lot of fun drawing this piece, I looked at several images of him from the movie and I thought this evoked such raw emotion through his eyes, that I had to draw it.
